Austin Environmental Consulting

View of the city of Austin, Texas. The City of Austin and the surrounding area is known as a place full of natural beauty and diversity, making it very attractive to investors and development.

The varying landscape can also make navigating development and construction projects challenging as the city requires environmental consultants to make assessments, starting with the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, evaluations, wetland delineation, water quality monitoring and often permits such as the Section 404 Permit.

Arroyo Environmental Consultants (Arroyo) has 20 years worth of experience in managing and directing location specific impact studies in the Austin area, guiding clients through the permitting process.

Austin Environmental Consulting Procedures

Arroyo will collect information about your site while conducting the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment both by making an in person evaluation and by sifting through data off site, in order to evaluate what will be required in order to proceed.

The team at Arroyo is well versed in, and can provide helpful support with, the software for Geographic Information System (GIS) and the newest topographical data collection software packages.

If Arroyo identifies any environmental or ecological concerns on site, further studies must be performed. The environmental consultants at Arroyo must perform a review for an endangered species habitat under the Endangered Species Act, to determine what level study specifying the presence or absence of an endangered species must be conducted. If an endangered species is registered, Arroyo will perform additional evaluations to determine what level of impact the development may bring to the habitat.

Under the Federal Clean Water Act, projects that have dredge and fill material discharge in areas that have jurisdictional waters and a wetland delineation, will need to apply for a Section 404 Permit through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Arroyo will evaluate what other permits may be necessary during the assessment as well as perform water quality monitoring. Along with State and Federal agencies, Arroyo has performed Instream Flow Studies and other Aquatic Ecosystem Evaluations. Thanks to years of work, Arroyo understands the procedures required during this process and has built relationships while working alongside various regulatory bodies.

Keep Austin Beautiful

Full of streams, creeks, rivers, sensitive ground water zones and other wetland areas, the Austin area is full of unique and important flora and fauna. Arroyo is committed to restoring, maintaining and even enhancing these natural habitats, through re-vegetation, population studies on fish and other aquatic life, exotic and invasive species removal and water quality monitoring.

The staff at Arroyo looks forward to bringing their years of experience to help guide you through your Austin based project.
